Moonshine Gorge

After a somewhat chilly night in the tent we set out to Zebedee Hot Springs for a soak. The spring is at the base of a beautiful waterfall and the warm water [about 28 to 30 degrees] comes tumbling over the rocks forming numerous small pools. Just find a nice spot and wallow. The air temperature was still cool when we got out though.

Later we walked up Moonshine Gorge, which is a challenging walk as it is all rock hopping up the mostly dry creek bed. Gave me a chance to break in my new hiking boots though - I had to buy some in Kununurra as my old ones had delaminated around the toe the week before. Lucky such a small place had a really good camping/outdoor shop.
That evening we had a great time playing scrabble on the ipad with Deirdre and Ken who were parked next to our little tent in their off road caravan. This sure beat trying to play any games with our inadequate lighting. If we go for any more camping trips in the future we know we need a serious torch to run off the car battery and a serious fridge to run off gas or a 2nd car battery!
