Last night we froze!
The temperature dropped to minus 1 and I don't think it was any warmer inside the van.
Poor John has developed a heavy cold and feels rotten. We were only going to stay one night but will now stay two to give him a chance to rest.
Off to the shops for another blanket and afterwards I decided to cycle into town along the Macquarie River, a distance of about 4kms. Went on John's new bike to give it an inaugural outing. Found a fusty little museum in the courthouse with an eclectic mix of aboriginal artefacts, early European wares and of course, Ben Chifley displays.
