Friday 25th May - Watarrka to Alice Springs

Another long long drive

470km drive today.  Uneventful and nothing interesting on the way.

We arrived at Alice Springs late afternoon and went straight to Coles for a big shop as we were very low on provisions.  The campsite is excellent, easily the best we have stayed so far so we have decided to stay 5 nights as there is lots to do around Alice.  The town is situated on a river [which is dry most of the time including now] and is in the middle of the McDonnell Ranges.

Lovely surprise to find the mail waiting for us at the campsite. Thanks Nicole for forwarding. John now has his official seniors card and we both loved the 'letter' from Nathan. It has joined my gallery behind the cooktop. We are missing all the grandchildren already.








As there are no photos for today I thought some internal shots of the caravan might be interesting. We have sorted out a good routine and have a place for everything and there is still room left over!
