At last!

Got away from Sydney at midday today.  Pods had been picked up without a problem.  Our belongings only just squeezed in!  Big, big thank you to Rob, Dave, Peter, Simone and Nicole for all their hard work in helping with the loading and for providing meals. Surprisingly we fitted everything into the caravan and the car (with the back seats removed) and there is room to spare!  I am sure we will fill the void. Uneventful drive to Bathurst, which is a really attractive town, with John gaining in confidence towing the caravan all the while.  When we arrived at the campsite he backed the caravan in with NO trouble at all. Then it was off to the shops to stock up on groceries and the inevitable visit to Bunnings, this time for hose fittings.  Cooked the first meal in the caravan, mushroom omelette with rice and salad and had a celebratory glass of wine.
